Par devant nous, Nicolas Charton, maire, officier de État civil de la commune de Russ, canton de Schirmeck, Department des Vosges. Est comparus, Ferdinand Ory, âge de vingt ans, manouvrier, domicilié à Schwartzbach, le quel nous a préente un enfant du sexe masculin, né aujourd'hui a cinq heures du matin de lui declarant et de Therese Mahon, son epouse et au quel et a déclaré vouloir donner les prénoms de Francois Sebastien. Les dites declaration et présence di Pierre Didio, âge e quarante cinq ans, instituteur et de Jean Baptiste Brignon, âge de quarante cinq ans, manouvrier, tous deux domicilié à Russ, et ont les père et temoins signe avec nous le présent acte de naissance après quel leur en acte fait lecture.

Birth of Francois Sebastien Ory
The year one thousand eight hundred twenty,
the tenth day of the month of January at ten o'clock in the morning. We,
in the presence of Nicolas Charton, mayor, officer of the civil State of
the Township of Russ, district of Schirmeck, Department of Vosges. Being
related, Ferdinand Ory, twenty years old, day labourer, resident at Schwartzbach,
presents a child of the masculine sex, born today at five o'clock in the
morning, by this informant, and by Therese Mahon, his wife, and who have
declared they wish to give the forenames of Francois Sebastien. The said
statement and presentatioin having been made in the presence of Pierre
Didio, age of forty five years, teacher, and of Jean Baptiste Brignon,
age of Forty five years, day labourer, both resident at Russ, and have
the father and witness present sign with us the act of birth, after having
read it.
