Here are the tables of Seven Families' surnames (marked in bold) that I
have compiled of the Senones film in Wordperfect and Word format.  One
could conjecture that Jean Strasbach born in 1658 in Senones is
identical to the Jean Strasbach who died in 1724 in Saulxures, but I
have not been able to verify this connection. The Senones Jean is,
however, probably identical to the Jean from Fontenelle whose daughter's
marriage occurs in the Senones records in 1696.

Also, I have noticed that la Saulce is closer to Ranrupt and may be the
dependency of the Ranrupt parish referred to in the message I sent
yesterday. I still think that I entry I read referred to Saulxures and
to Saulce, however.

Two  interesting facts I found will not show up on the table because
they don't involve entries for Seven Families surnames.  The first is
that I noticed an entry for Breminil (at least I think that it was Breminil)
that was spelled "Bruminil", i.e, a closer spelling to "Brumley".  Second,
there was a pre-1700  entry that described Saulxures as a "dependency"
of the parish of Ranrupt.  This makes me think we should take a second
look at the Ranrupt records, at least for the period prior to the beginning
of the Saulxures records.  I am not sure we were looking for Catherine
Gerard when we searched that film (or would have known what we had
if we had seen her name!).
