Louis Noel, Agatha and their son Clarence
At this time our oral history says that my great grandfathers name was
Louis Noel and his fathers name was Napoleon Noel and he
was born in France. Napoleon wrote books for the French navy (so my father
tells me). My father remembers seeing these books, bound in leather and
embossed in gold. I'm not sure of my great great grandfathers birth date
but I know it was somewhere around the 1850's. My father has also told
me that one of our ancestors were presented with a crystal dinner setting
from Napoleons court and he remembers seeing the crystal dinner set. I
am trying to find out our family connection to
Napoleons Court.
As for my great great grandfather Napoleon Noel. I don't know the exact
places yet, but he was born in France and then there is something about
him going to England. My great grandfather Louis married Agatha Buchanan
here in New Zealand, my
father said he had a very strong french accent but doesn't know if
he came from France to New Zealand or from England. I am trying to clear
that up at the moment and will let you know as soon as I find anything
out. If you know anything of my line please contact me
